Dr. Bradberry is a favorite of mine. I read something from him almost daily.

Communication is consistently a challenge in our personal and professional relationships. Some are naturally gifted communicators while others work hard to improve. None of us communicate perfectly. However, each of us possess the capability to sharpen our skills and continually improve.

I appreciate someone who is consciously working to improve one’s communication skills. It demonstrates a level of self-awareness necessary as a leader. We cannot be experts at all ten of these skills, but we can identify those areas of strength and areas of weakness so we can focus on improving our weaknesses.

This article covers more than empathy and trust. It lays a basic, yet solid, foundation for healthy leadership. Five Life Lessons

“If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.” –Lao Tzu

The article at the below URL, What are the lessons people most often learn too late in life?” originally appeared on Quora–the place to gain and share knowledge, empowering people to learn from others and better understand the world. I pulled it from Inc. magazine and LinkedIn.

I scroll through LinkedIn daily looking for articles of inspiration. This particular one did not disappoint. The 5 life lessons are ones that we have heard many times through different sources. Alyssa Satara has compiled them, succinctly, into a single article. Good advice that oftentimes one does learn too late in life.

Everything is temporary.

Be present.

Do what you love, love what you do.

Being happy takes work.
